Mobile application development

Mobile apps connected to your wider system

We build Android and iOS applications that use the same accounts and data as the wider web and administration systems.

The app can use maps, location, the camera, audio or video, notifications and selected features without an internet connection.

Discuss your app

When a mobile app is worthwhile

When the job is easier on a phone than in a browser

A dedicated app makes sense when people use the product frequently, work away from a desk or need device features. If a good mobile website is enough, we will say so before development starts.

Maps and location are central to the product

The app uses routes, places, proximity calculations or content based on the user’s location.

The workflow uses the camera or files

Users take photos or video, record audio, upload documents or rely on other device features.

Connectivity is unreliable

Important information and selected actions must remain available when the connection is slow or temporarily unavailable.

Users repeat the same tasks frequently

People return to a defined set of actions often enough for a dedicated mobile interface to save time.

When the application uses shared accounts, data or administration, we plan it together with the custom web system.

App capabilities

Device features connected to shared platform data

01

Android and iOS applications

A shared or platform-specific implementation selected according to features, performance, maintenance and budget.

02

Maps and location

Routes, current or saved positions, points of interest and location-aware content.

03

Images, audio and video

Camera access, recordings, file uploads and controlled delivery of media content.

04

Notifications

Operational and content notifications linked to user preferences and the current state of the system.

05

Offline use

Selected data and actions remain available without a connection and synchronise safely when it returns.

06

Apps for several organisations

One platform for several organisations or brands, with separate users, data and settings.

How we work

Design the app and the platform as one product

  1. 01

    Define the app’s job

Decide what users need to do on the device and which functions belong in the web or administration system.

  2. 02

    Plan data and connections

Define accounts, permissions, APIs, synchronisation, offline behaviour and external services.

  3. 03

Build, test and prepare for release

Test the main journeys on different devices and prepare the app for publication through accounts controlled by the client.

Outcome

One system across mobile, web and administration

You receive a focused mobile interface connected to the main system, using shared data and one administration environment.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Will the app be built separately for Android and iOS?

Not necessarily. We may use Flutter, another shared technology or separate platform-specific development. The choice depends on device features, performance, maintenance and budget.

Can the app use the same administration system as the website?

Yes. The app, website and administration interface can use the same data and services rather than operating as three separate systems.

Can the app work without an internet connection?

Yes, when it is planned from the start. We define which data stays on the device, how conflicting changes are handled and when information is synchronised.

Who should own the app store accounts?

The organisation should own and control its Google Play Console and Apple Developer Program accounts. We can prepare and submit the application while account control remains with the client.
